Gods were worshipped in temples, some gods were worshiped more than others. The most common temple ritual was the morning offering ceremony, performed daily in temples across Egypt. In the good wealthy temples, very good gifts were given as a gift to the gods, and before the gifts are given the priest would wash and dress the statue of the god before offering the gift. After the god had taken the spirit essentials of the gifts, the gifts themselves would be shared among the many priests. In the poorer ceremonies, the gifts would be small like a symbol or a prayer.
